Manage the technical operation and physical movement of the camera. Control exposure, focus, focal length, and camera techniques (pans, tilts, dollies, handheld) to capture sharp, stable, and dynamic footage.

Sound & Lighting

Establish atmosphere, mood, depth, and clarity for both eyes and ears. Use strategic light setups (3-point lighting, shadows, color temperature) to shape subjects, alongside high-quality audio capture (booms, lavs) for crisp dialogue and ambient sound.

Directing

Translate script into visual storytelling and oversee the artistic vision. Decide shot selection, camera placement, blocking, and overall visual pacing to evoke the right emotion.

Drone Piloting

Capture aerial cinematography to elevate production value and perspective. Maintain flight safety, spatial awareness, and precise joystick control to execute smooth, dramatic aerial sweeps and tracking shots.

Top Crown’s Cinematography & Digital Media Production Programme is structured into three progressive levels: 2 Months — Foundation Certificate 4 Months — Professional Diploma 6 Months — Advanced Diploma with Specialisation All students begin with the same 2-month foundation before progressing to the higher levels.

2. What is the difference between the 2-month, 4-month and 6-month programmes?

The programmes are stackable, meaning each level builds on the previous one rather than repeating the same training. 2 Months: Module A — Foundation 4 Months: Module A + Module B — Professional Upgrade 6 Months: Module A + Module B + Module C — Advanced Upgrade Each additional stage develops a higher level of practical competence.

3. Do I need previous filmmaking experience to join?

No. Every trainee starts with Module A - Foundation, which provides the basic knowledge and practical skills required across the core areas of filmmaking.

4. Can I specialise in a particular area?

Yes. Students progressing through the programme can develop a specialisation in areas such as: Cinematography Film Directing Editing & Colour Sound Drone & AI Production Content & Media Business The specialisation is formally named on the Advanced Diploma.

5. How many students are in a cohort?

The programme is designed around a 20-trainee cohort model. Every intake begins together on the common Foundation Module before progressing according to assessment and programme pathway.
